Lapsang Souchongis a kind of black tea that originated in China, known as the ancestor of black tea. The tea is dried and smoked with pine wood, imparting a powerful aroma of pine smoke. Lapsang originated in Wuyi City, Fujian Province. The tea is black and stringy in shape, Golden-coppery color in the cup; Sweet pine flavor, and lightly evaporating finish. It's amazing all the dimensions of 'smoky' you can experience in one. Lapsang Souchong is ideal for curries and meat dishes.

Lapsang Souchong black tea is popular in the international market due to its strong and unique flavor and is exported to Britain, Holland, France and other places. Nortan, a veteran tea master and poet, praised it as "the flavor is better than ginseng soup".

Distinctive Features of Lapsang Souchong

Color of tea soup. It is easy for you to see a golden loop appear along the circle of the inner side of the teacup. This feature is a significant standard of high-quality black tea. If the tea liquid looks dull in color, it may be ranked as second-level.

1. Aroma

Dry leaf aroma: A faint scent of rosin or pine aroma, slightly and tantalizing. But some have a dry, aromatic woods aroma, not pleasant for your nose but enjoyable to drink.

2. Taste

It can give you a distinctive longan flavor, accompanied by a brisk and sweet aftertaste. However, when it tastes insipid or has miscellaneous notes, it is regarded as an inferior-quality product.
